JUDAS PRIEST Frontman Sings 3 INCHES OF BLOOD's Praises
June 20, 2007JUDAS PRIEST frontman Rob Halford recently spoke to Scott Evil of WDHA's "Metal Mania" radio show about how much he loves Vancouver's 3 INCHES OF BLOOD.
"I was listening to 'em the other day in my car driving around and they came on the radio," Halford said. "And I heard this guy's voice. And I was like, 'My God, that's like 'Painkiller'. This guy's got some pipes.' And then they've got this real brutal death metal voice as well. I think it's a really unusual combination. But that's a great band. Everybody should keep an eye out for them. I'm a hardcore metalhead and I think it's wonderful when new bands come along and kick up a fuss like 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, so I'll be trying to check those guys out live in concert."

MP3.com is currently streaming the entire new album from Vancouver, B.C.-based heavy metal warriors 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, entitled "Fire Up the Blades". Check it out at this location.
Due on June 26 via Roadrunner Records, "Fire Up the Blades" was recorded at Vancouver's legendary Armoury Studios (AC/DC, KISS) and Mushroom Studios (QUEENSRŸCHE) with producer Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT) and engineer Dan Turner. Darker, tighter and more dangerous than the band's previous works, "Fire Up the Blades" features songs such as "Night Marauders", "The Goatrider's Horde", "Assassins of the Light" and "Black Spire" and is full of vivid imagery, masterful guitar acrobatics and the skyscraping vocals of Cam Pipes and Jamie Hooper that 3 INCHES OF BLOOD is known for. The follow-up to the band's 2004 release "Advance and Vanquish" is already being called "a thrash-fest" that features "a raging JUDAS PRIEST-meets-SLAYER attack".
3 INCHES OF BLOOD has joined the lineup of Ozzfest 2007, where they will display their hard-hitting live show alongside OZZY OSBOURNE, LAMB OF GOD, LORDI, HATEBREED, NILE and many more.
